Scotty Cameron Detour
Scotty Cameron has fused the conventional design of the Newport line with his innovative Detour technology to create the Newport 2 Detour and the Newport 2.5 Detour. Utilizing the familiar, crisp lines of the Newport 2 head style, this Cameron putter family incorporates a milled stainless steel frame with an integrated, arched aluminum face/body. The Scotty Cameron Detour putter extends the Detour theory into conventional putter design by promoting the arc-shaped putting path.
Scotty Cameron gave the topline a 2-degree high toe to make it more pleasing to the golfer's eye at the address position. Cameron designed the putter's curved profile with an extended orange sightline, which is straight for the first inch and curves thereafter. This Detour characteristic shows the player the proper ball path.
A removable stainless steel backweight allows a single Cameron putter head to work with varying shaft lengths based on player preference. The Detour putter incorporates a backweight that also triangulates balance for high MOI weight distribution and an increased sweet spot area that accounts for those off-center putts.
A Cameron design vibration-dampening elastomer cushion surrounds the aluminum face for extremely soft sound and feel. The stepless shaft offers a clean look at address, as well as a positive feel and assured feedback. The Detour Cameron putter line comes with an orange Cameron Studio Design grip matched to an orange shaftband and headcover.
